A Lover’s Embrace Has sin and shame lowered your gaze? Do not fear because Jesus is your glory and the lifter of your head. Are you depressed due to the loss of a loved one? Do not fear because Jesus comforts you with His loving embrace. Have life’s challenges broken you and left you feeling trapped and suffocated? Remember, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the solution to all your problems. He loves a contrite heart and a broken spirit. In Song of Songs, God demonstrates His love for us in an unimaginable way. Even though we fail to rise up to His standards, He comes to us and lifts our head, heavy with shame, sin and burdens, and at the same time embraces us telling us He loves us no matter what. He reminds us that He has paid the price for our sin and shame on the cross. He exhorts us to go on as He is with us and will never leave us nor forsake us. Do you feel emptiness in your heart and life? Go to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Your Creator, the Lover of your soul. He’ll never expose you, put you down or degrade you. Instead He will lift you up, sing songs over you, call you His beloved, shield you and protect you. So, continue to abide in the shadow of the wings of the Almighty. Never forget our help and refuge is the One who made the heavens and the earth. He is a personal God who loves unconditionally. Prayer Father God, Thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank You for using the pressures of life to polish me and grind away unwanted flaws in me, so that I will be ready for my eternal Lover and Husband, Jesus, Your Son. Amen.
