Be Joyful Always As long as we live in this earthly suit, that is the body, we are all bound to experience anxious moments, and stressful, challenging situations. In such situations, those who are in a relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ have the confidence to approach Him in prayer and pour out our hearts to Him, knowing that He hears us. We have this blessed assurance that the Lord will intervene on our behalf and do what He thinks is best so that the situation ultimately works out for our good and His glory. Are you facing a stressful situation right now? Maybe it’s a difficult relationship with your loved one or a colleague at work, a challenging financial crisis or a life and death situation? Come before the Lord and He will give you rest. In his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul encouraged the church to be joyful, to pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances. In doing so, we are aligning ourselves with God’s will. Choosing to be joyful fills our minds with His peace. Praying continually strengthens our inner being and giving thanks in all circumstances reflects our gratitude to the Lord for all the good things He has done for us. This is His will for us in Christ Jesus. When we align ourselves with His will, it not only creates confusion in the enemy’s camp but also allows God to intervene and work powerfully on our behalf. The Lord delights in those who put their trust and hope in Him. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19). Prayer Dear Lord, enable me to be joyful and give thanks to You in all circumstances; for in doing so, I align myself with Your will. You alone are my hope and my strength. Amen.
