Lay Your Burden Down The leper who came to Jesus was in a desperate situation. Because of his disease no one wanted to be near him. Even his own family rejected him. He was an outcast in society. His disease was a burden to him. One day, he went to Jesus and implored Him to heal him. Guess what! Jesus, full of compassion, stretched out His hand and healed the leper. Very few people in this world care about the problems of others. Even friends get tired of listening to our woes. Most of us would have experienced this kind of rejection in one way or another. Today, if you are going through a hard time and your burden seems overwhelming, cast it on Jesus. He is the only One who will receive your burden gladly. Many believers who come to Jesus, with their different problems, have seen Him sustaining them. The Lord wants to give you the same blessing. He wants your life to be steady, prosperous and victorious with your ways pleasing to God always. A woman was walking with a heavy bag on her shoulder. A gentleman driving his car stopped and offered her a lift. She rode in the car with the heavy bag still on her shoulder. Many times, in our Christian walk, we carry our heavy bags, loaded with worries, sorrows and sickness. Beloved, Jesus wants us to give all our cares to Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Today, He invites you with open arms. Are you ready to cast your cares at His feet? Do it right now. Offload your troubles onto the Lord and He will give you rest. Prayer Lord Jesus, I thank You that there is no burden so heavy that You can’t carry it for me. I give You all my burdens of sickness and worry today. I receive Your healing and peace in exchange.
