Paul, writing to both slaves and slave masters in Ephesus, reminds them of the true boss, the one they are really working for. It is very easy to view either our manager or customer as the one we are serving, creating the potential for people-pleasing or resentment. How would your work be different if the focus was to serve God wholeheartedly?
