"At this pace, I'll never make it!"
"Man, this is taking forever!"
"Why don't I just give up now!"
Have you ever had these thoughts when it comes to our plans, physical growth, or even spiritual growth? If we're honest with ourselves, our spiritual development can be like watching grass grow. It's . . . slow! It can only be noticed over an extended period of time.
People who excel in their field will tell you that there is no such thing as an overnight success story, and nothing worthwhile is created without time and effort. The same thing goes for spiritual habits. They have a pretty remarkable impact if we become committed to the rhythms of spiritual habits. Prayer, reading Scripture, and worship on the regular would not only allow us to grow but will ultimately change our lives for the better.
What new perspective can you gain about spiritual habits today? What would it look like if you committed to prayer, reading scripture, and spending time with God for a few weeks?
