Psalms: Window to Our Souls, Part 2Sample

This is a verse that has stirred up a lot of controversy in the Christian church, but James does a great job in linking the authenticity of our faith to the way we live. Why is it so dangerous to think you have faith, when you see no spiritual growth or spiritual deeds develop in your life? How is it also dangerous to have spiritual deeds without any faith? Out of the two, which do you struggle with the most?
All the people James listed in chapter 2 are notable people remembered for their faith and deeds. Their deeds served to manifest the faith they already had in God. Jesus also says that our works should shine so bright that our good deeds should cause other people to give glory to God (Matthew 5:16). How can the things you do accomplish this in your daily life? How can these regular everyday good works be fueled by your love for the Lord?
