How To Follow Jesus

DAY 8 OF 8

Disciples make disciples.

It’s so incredible and life-changing when you choose to follow Jesus and make Him your Lord! You get to know Him and the power that raised Him from the dead! You’re going to want everyone else to get to know Jesus and be His disciple, too.

But how do you make disciples? While it’s great to tell people about following Jesus and living for Him, it’s even better to show them! Every time you treat others like they’re more important than you are, you’re showing God’s mighty power at work in you. And God’s power will get the attention of the people around you. That’s when you get the chance to share God’s Good News with them!

Be more like Jesus! Spend time with Him. Learn more from Him and about Him. Follow His example. When people see Him through you, they’ll get to see how amazing it is to be His disciple.

Watch the video and play Stop and Say to learn Matthew 28:19. It will help you remember to go out and make disciples!

Stop and Say

  1. Write out all of Matthew 28:19 on a piece of paper.
  2. Have a friend draw a stop sign on a different piece of paper.
  3. Read Matthew 28:19 over and over again as loud as you can.
  4. Stop reading when your friend holds up the stop sign.
  5. Start reading again when your friend puts the stop sign down.
  6. Switch papers with your friend and play again until both of you can say Matthew 28:19 without reading it.

Talk It Over: Talk about how you can share the Good News with others.
