Don’t Be Moved

Life is too short for you to go through it drifting, feeling negative, discouraged, and passionless. Get your hopes back up. If you don’t have an expectancy in your spirit that something good is coming, it will limit what God can do. You have to stir up the hope and keep anchored to it. When you’re anchored to hope, you may have negative circumstances, but you’re not moved by worry because you know that God is fighting your battles. You know that God is behind the scenes arranging things in your favor. You may have a disappointment, but you don’t get bitter. You know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy is coming in the morning.

To be anchored to hope doesn’t mean you won’t have difficulties; it means that when those difficulties come, you won’t be moved. Nothing big or small will move you or cause you to pull up your anchor. There will be waves and winds, but you’re consistent—your hope is in the Lord.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that my faith and trust are anchored to You and Your mighty power at work in my life. Thank You that I don’t have to be moved by the tests and troubles I face because I know that You are fighting my battles. I declare that my hope is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
