Truth Statements for Families

DAY 3 OF 3

I am who Jesus says I am.

Say Together

As a family, say, "I am who Jesus says I am," a few times. What does this truth statement make you think about?

Read Together

Think about a kid who's really into football. They're a football player! But, when they are a grown-up, they may change to be a fire fighter, a dancer, or a computer programmer. It's normal for us to change some things about ourselves as we grow older.

But there are also some good, beautiful truths about us that never change. When we choose to follow Jesus, He shows us who we really are. Whether you are a kid or a grown-up, you can listen to His words in the Bible to learn the good things He says are true about you forever. Jesus says:

You are loved.

You are amazing and wonderful.

You are strong and brave.

You are accepted, known, and seen.

You are chosen, victorious, and generous!

What Jesus says about you doesn't stop there. He has so many good things to tell you. Ask Him to teach you who you are, and talk about what you learn with a trusted leader or adult.
