THE SPIRITUAL REALITY

God the Father is the Head of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Jesus the Son (your Savior) and the Holy Spirit (your Teacher) were with God from the beginning. Genesis 1:1-2 & John 1:2-3 God sent Jesus from heaven to earth to die for the world’s sins. John 3:16 Jesus willingly agreed to sacrifice His life for your sins. John 10:18 God raised Jesus from the dead and gave Him all authority in heaven and on earth. Matthew 28:18 Therefore no other name has more authority and POWER than the name of JESUS. Philippians 2:9 & John 14:13-14

Some days after His resurrection Jesus ascended to heaven to join His Father. Mark 16:19 Soon after, the Holy Spirit was sent from heaven to be with God’s children. Acts 2:1-4 The Holy Spirit represents both God the Father and Jesus His Son. Matthew 10:20 & Galatians 4:6

Father, Friend, and Coach

Father God wants to be a father to you. 2 Corinthians 6:18 Jesus wants you to be His friend. John 15:14 He intercedes with the Father for you. Romans 8:34

The Holy Spirit wants to teach and guide you in God’s ways. John 14:26 & Romans 8:14

The spiritual reality

Apart from the Holy Spirit, there are angels and demons (fallen angels) also active on earth. Hebrews 1:13-14 & Revelations 12:9

Since you are living in a world open to the power of satan, you are continually vulnerable to the influence of demons. Ephesians 6:12 & 1 Peter 5:8 As you walk closely with Him, God will protect you through His angels and the guidance of His Spirit. God sees and hears everything. Hebrews 4:13 Demons fear Him. James 2:19 The choices you make will determine the impact of the spiritual realm on your life.1 John 5:18

What can you do to be more alert and receptive to God’s guidance?

Lord, please help me to be a good son or daughter to Father God, a good friend to Jesus, and an excellent student to the Holy Spirit. Help me to live in freedom under the sovereign power and guidance of Your Spirit—in Jesus’s Name, amen.
