Walking in the Light of the Lord
1 John 1:5
God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
Have you ever wondered why bad guys usually commit their crimes in the darkness? It is because they do not want to get caught!
Evil and sin creep in stealthily into people’s lives, and those who live in sin live in the darkness. However, the light of God brings righteousness and repentance. Darkness can never overpower light, but light can always cast away the darkness.
The Bible tells us that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. John encourages us to walk in the light as God is the light. God in our hearts is like a candle that always shines to cast away the sins in our life.
Walking in the light of God means obeying His word daily. If we are walking in the light of God, His light will get rid of all our sins and fear. It will also get rid of all the lies and intimidation from the devil.
Let’s live a life that shines a bright light into this dark world. Keep walking in the light of the Lord.
Prayer
Dear God, into Your hands I commit my life. I will keep walking in Your light daily. Amen.
