The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for TeensSample

Prayer
This week’s theme was mourning and how to mourn with God. It might still feel a bit strange to allow yourself to cry and feel a deep sense of loss when you reflect on painful moments.
Together we have looked at the purpose of mourning, the obstacles that keep us afraid of mourning, and also the hope God promises when we mourn.
Remember, you are not doing this alone, and God wants you to experience His freedom when you face your pain.
Reflect by answering the questions:
- Jesus, take me back to my experiences this week. I trust in what I experienced with You.
- Reread Matt 5:4 and look at your notes.
- Think about one experience you had that you just can’t shake; let’s revisit it. Talk to Jesus about what you felt.
- Where did I feel God’s presence?
- How did He invite me to mourn?

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
