POVSample

God chose the Israelites as his special people, but they ended up being slaves for 400 years. They lost hope and thought God abandoned them. But God saved them. He took them to the wilderness, and they wandered around for 40 years. During that time, they questioned why God rescued them just to let them wander around. Forty years is a long time. It felt like hope was lost again, but God was in control. The Israelites learned to trust God in the wilderness. Have you ever experienced a wilderness of your own, or gone through a time when God felt far away? We usually want to give up during hard times, but God is still with us. Seeing time through a point of view is difficult. We want things to happen quickly. But God is still in control. The wilderness is a place for God to get our attention and remind us that his point of view is best.
Challenge: Take a few minutes to reflect on what God is saying to you right now. Thank him for being with you even in the wilderness.

About this Plan

Have you ever felt lost or stuck in life? We all have times when life gets confusing. Something happens and we don't understand why God would let that happen. Or maybe life just doesn't seem to make sense. Thankfully, God’s point of view is different than ours. God sees the big picture and we can trust that he knows what's best.
