Too Good Not to Share Sample

Day Three — Don’t Keep It To Yourself
One of the easiest ways to connect with others and build community is by sharing.
In this day and age, we’re used to sharing everything — vacation highlights, TikToks, awards, college acceptance letters, relationship statuses, you name it. When we’re excited about something or we really love it, we share it, right? Why would you keep good news to yourself?
Jesus’ disciple, Andrew, would have been all about that share button if he was alive today. The day he bumped into Jesus had him running... literally! The first thing he did after meeting Jesus was run to find his brother, Peter, and invite him to come with him.
Because of Andrew, Peter would later be chosen as one of the now-famous 12 disciples. And because Andrew didn’t keep good news to himself, Peter went on to be one of the main leaders of the early church. Andrew’s willingness to invite his brother opened the door for Peter to invite others as well. His invitation had a ripple effect — just like the share button has today.
If you go through the New Testament, it’s insane how many encounters people had with Jesus all because someone else shared an invitation or personal experience. And a good chunk of those encounters end with Jesus telling them to go out and share what they experienced with others.
Andrew probably didn’t know Peter would be an important figure in church history, but that didn’t matter. What mattered was Andrew shared something that was important to him. And that decision to not keep it to himself went on to influence culture in ways he never imagined.
You can’t influence culture if you’re hiding in a bubble (#fax). In the same way your life changed because of something shared, someone else’s life could change because of what you share, whether that’s a personal invite or a post on your platform.
Who needs what God has given you? Ask God to show you three people in your life who need Him… and then be brave enough to share what you know about God with them! Maybe it’s a conversation. Maybe it’s an invite to your church or a youth event. You’ll never see what God can do through you if you’re not willing to share what He’s done in you!
