Take a second and think about your favorite food. What is it, and how does it taste to you? Isn’t it amazing that God gave us the ability to taste so many amazing things? Whether it is the sweet taste of a strawberry or the salty taste of chips, we can taste lots of good food. God thinks about all the little details in our lives. God didn’t have to create us with the ability to taste things, but he did. He wanted us to experience the goodness of food as a reminder of his goodness. We serve a good God who not only is good, but he also works all things together for our good. When was the last time you thanked God for some of your favorite foods and the goodness found in their tastes? You probably forget to thank him for some of those simple things like taste, but today take a chance to thank him for his goodness and the goodness he created in this world.

Challenge: Today, start a gratitude journal. Take some time each day, write down some things you are grateful for, and then talk to God and thank him for who he is and all he has done for each of us.
