I Have Questions: A Devotional About Race

DAY 2 OF 7

We can agree stealing is wrong. We understand stealing is unjust. But any injustice—not just wrongfully taking things that don’t belong to you - is like stealing. To treat someone differently because of a disability, their skin color, ethnic background, or gender is to attempt to rob them of the dignity that is their human right. That’s injustice. When God talks about loving justice, it means God celebrates anything that gives dignity, honor, and respect to all people—because everyone is made in God’s image.

Today, what is one way you can practice justice by honoring someone different from you? If you are experiencing injustice, remember it is not okay with God, and ask a trusted leader for help.
