Treasured Memories: How to Mindfully Navigate GriefSample

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Your heart is broken, but it does not break your relationship with God. Psalm 34:18 was written for such a time as this. Psalm 34:18 is your assurance that God is close to you. God wants you to be mindful of his presence in moments of despair. God is not the author of your pain, and he desires to save you as you reach out to Him. In moments of grief, there is a tendency to pull back from God or think God has forsaken us. Psalms 34:18 is an assurance that God is with you, and as you purposefully surrender the weight of your pain, anger, or disappointment to Him, you will be alright.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I feel ______________. I believe you are close to me. Let your closeness become more real to me in Jesus' name.
Please ponder and declare this truth: God is close to me, and God is the only one who can save me.
