How many times a day do you send a text or talk with your friends? How many times a day do you pray and talk with God?
Have you heard of the “Lord’s Prayer” or the “Our Father”? (Jesus’ family called him “Lord.”) Maybe you’ve heard it used in church: it is often used as part of a worship service. Jesus taught it to his friends when they asked him to teach them to pray. It shows us what really matters to God.
What’s it all about?
- Remember that God is holy: give him respect.
- Do what God wants: that way, you can help to change the world.
- Ask God for what you need: rely on him.
- Be honest: say sorry to God when you go wrong; and forgive others when they hurt you.
Imagine what the world would be like if everyone lived this way! That’s what God’s kingdom is like.
