DAY 1 OF 5

“God thinks everything He’s made has tons of dazzle, oomph, and definitely pizzaz.”The Inventions of God (And Eva) by Dave Connis

God is the best inventor and creator around.

He measured and laid the foundations of the earth. He invented the sun and showed it how to rise and fall. He showed light and darkness their boundaries. He invented plants and trees that use the sun, soaking in its light and turning it into life. He invented the ocean and told it where on the sand it should stop. He thought about how to make everything work and hold together.

After He invented all the non-human things of our world—like the sea, sun, mountains, and plants, He noticed, “This is awesome.” But when He made humans? He noticed, “This is super awesome.”

There was something different about humans that made creation super awesome instead of just awesome.

So, put on your thinking coats, top hats, and scarves, and take the rest of the day to think about this:

What is it about humans that’s so, so, so super awesome?

Other questions:

  1. What about humans do you think is really important? Why does God think they are super awesome while everything else is just “awesome”?

  2. What is something really cool that God invented?
