Know Who You’re Looking For!

Watch the video for today, and then follow up with these questions to discuss or journal.

1. To seek and find God and know His presence in our daily lives, we need to believe in Him! It is very hard to find someone if you don’t believe that they exist! The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6 that when we ‘come to God’ when we talk to Him or look for Him, we must believe that He IS God and that He will reward us as we diligently seek Him! How does God ‘reward us’ when we try to find Him in our life, do you think?

2. To find God, you need to know more about Him! It is much easier to find someone when you know something about them that can help you figure out where they might be found! What can we do to learn more about God? 

3. How does the Bible help us to ‘light our path’ to finding God?

Pray:  Today is a great day to ask God to help you as you seek to learn more about Him. When you read the Bible you can ask God to ‘light it up’ for you so that you understand what it is saying to you! Why don’t you pray this prayer: 

“Dear Jesus, I thank you that you have made it easy for me to learn more about you, by giving me your words in the Bible! I pray that you would help me to understand what you are trying to say to me when I read the Bible. I pray that you will light it up for me so that I can see clearly how I can follow you and be closer to you. Amen.
