1 Peter: Is All of This Worth It?Sample

The prophets foretold the Messiah, the son of David, the suffering Servant, the slain Lamb. Peter walked with the rabbi Jesus, watched him die, saw the wounds of the risen Saivor. The Church is built on the fulfilled promise that God would redeem His people through an unblemished sacrifice. The story of Scripture crescendos in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Savior of the world. This is the privilege of living in AD rather than BC. It is the best news. And it is for the whole world!
ASK:
-Why is it good to remember and to remind yourself of the good news of Jesus Christ?
-What does it mean that the prophets of the Old Testament were not serving themselves, but the church?
TAKE A NEXT STEP:
Remind someone else of the gospel today! Use John 3:16 to encourage someone you love.
About this Plan

In many areas of today’s world it is not easy being a Christian. We need to ask, is it worth being identified as a follower of Christ? If so, how should we live in a world that rejects us? The early church was asking these questions, too. They were the target of jokes, rumors, discrimination and persecution. God answered and encouraged them through 1 Peter, as He will for us!
