Fear/less (Pt. 3): It’s Time to Get Desperate for GodSample

Jesus turned to Jairus after receiving news of his daughters passing and declared, “Do not fear, only believe”.
Many of us would have been anticipating a different type of encouragement in a time of grief, not knowing what would happen next, but as people of faith we can be reassured by the words of Jesus, that we don’t need to fear, but rather only believe in faith. Our next steps are left to faith!
If we’re looking to live fearless lives, we must look at how faith throughout scripture delivered the impossible. All of the mighty works were wrought by faith! A miracle takes place in Jairus' home in the midst of mourning. They experience a demonstration of power as a result of faith. Jesus touched people who may not have felt they presented themselves as good enough to experience the richness of his nature, but an act that should have made Jesus impure, cleansed many from impurity. We don’t need to “clean up” or have it all together in order to encounter Jesus. We can push through, draw near to him, approach him boldly in faith, and experience a purity in His presence.
