God designed the world for us to play an important role in creation, and according to this passage in Genesis, our role is to rule over it. But what does that mean exactly? God is the ultimate ruler, the perfect picture of a perfect leadership. So, if we want to know how to rule, God is the best example. When it comes to our role in creation, we are to rule like God rules us—By loving and taking care of the world God has put us in. Maybe this looks like serving on a clean-up day in your community, or volunteering at an animal shelter.
