I Have Questions: Caring for CreationSample

Written by Grethe, age 17 from Pinegree Grove, IL
God’s work is all around us. Have you ever seen a sunset so beautiful you had to take a picture? Or have you taken a vacation somewhere with sights like no other? When I read this verse, that’s what I think of—the work of God in the world around us that catches your attention.
I saw a stunning sunset earlier last week and sat there enjoying it for a while. While sitting there, I was reminded that God is continuing to work even through the hardest season of my life. I was put at ease, and was given God’s peace just by taking in one of God’s creations.
God’s work can be seen in millions of ways, but God specifically crafts works of art here on Earth for us to experience and admire.
This week try to find ways that God is working in your own life. Maybe you’ll see a beautiful sunset, try to count the stars in the sky, or be happy to see your loved ones. Remember some of the ways God has moved and worked in your life, and reflect on the ways God has been faithful and kind through both the good and the bad.

About this Plan

Why do people care about creation? Let's talk about it. Specifically caring for the planet, environment, and what it looks like to see creation through the lens of our faith. The truth is that the world around us reveals a Creator we cannot see. In other words, creation points to a Creator, and we get to partner with that Creator to take care of all God has entrusted to us.
