Here we are, done with the first third of this reading plan, and Jesus has a question for us. What are you going to do with what you’ve heard?
In the section you’ll read today, the word “hear” or “listen” comes up 12 times. Jesus talks about four types of people and how each of them responds to His words:
- Those who hear and ignore.
- Those who hear, get excited, and forget about it a few days later.
- Those who hear and follow, but get distracted by anxiety and riches and pleasure.
- Those who hear, hold on, and live a reset life.
Read today’s passage and ask yourself: What have I done with what I’ve heard from Jesus? What difference has it made in my life?
