The Discovery: Exploring God’s Call On Your Life

DAY 29 OF 35

“The Discipline: Why do I need to pray?” Before you can lead others toward a deeper relationship with Christ, you must first make the journey yourself. After all, you cannot take others where you have never been. By making spiritual disciplines like Bible study and prayer a permanent and regular part of your life, you will allow God to mold you into what He intends for you to be. A privilege and an honor, prayer is one of the more important spiritual disciplines. Two-way communication with God Himself, prayer is our very lifeline as believers (Deuteronomy 4:7). When our hearts are right with God, our prayers are effective, allow us to experience Christ at work in and through us, and teach us more about God Himself. They connect us to the power source behind our ministry, not for our own glory, but for His. Respond to the following in your journal: What did you learn through Bible study today? How were you encouraged? How were you challenged?
