The Integration Box - Part II
David Miller, in his book God at Work, categorized four E’s of faith at work with his Integration Box. For us to live a fully integrated faith at work life, each of these four need to be embraced with proper emphasis.
The first E is Ethics. Years ago, in Kansas City, there was a pharmacist named Robert Courtney who made a $1 million pledge to his church.
Unfortunately, Robert honored his pledge by making more money from diluting chemo drugs for his cancer patients. Many cancer victims died, and Courtney was sentenced to life in prison.
Proverbs 11:3 teaches, “The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them.”
Being generous pleases God, but ignoring ethics in the process undermines our generosity and can destroy us.
