Game Changer (Week 3)Sample

Day Four
Everything’s a Gift - We choose to focus on how great God is. We always celebrate and practice thankfulness for everything in our lives, and for the people around us.
READ:
Hannah’s Prayer in 1 Samuel 1:1-20 (ICB)
Eli gently told Hannah to ‘go in peace and may God give you what you pray for.’
Eli was a priest. He loved God and would spend most of his time in the temple praying, talking to God. Eli would see lots of people come to the temple and probably hear lots of different prayers.
ASK:
What sort of things do you think Eli would have prayed and talked to God about?
Can you think of some things that you would like to pray and talk to God about today?
Maybe you could make a note of them in a little book and keep this to remind you of what you are praying for. It’s always exciting when we look back at our prayer journal (book) and see the prayers that God has answered It helps us to remember to be thankful for His love.
Maybe you could ask your grownup to help you make a note of some of your prayers?
REMEMBER:
Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
SAY:
My God is good,
He is awesome and great.
He helps me be strong,
Even when I’m afraid.
I will say thank you,
For all He has done.
For me and my people,
He loves everyone.

About this Plan

Through scripture and well-known bible stories we’ll explore how "Everything is a Gift" is about having an attitude of gratitude. We pray that children will grasp that God loves a grateful heart and that we have so much that we can be grateful for.
