Sometimes, we live as though having faith is like throwing all caution to the wind and hoping for the best. We create our own plans because we aren't sure God's plans will be fully viable.

I'm going to say this confidently; walking with faith in Christ alone is the most calculated and definitive decision that you can make in this life. 

Why? 

First, because God is the ultimate authority. Isaiah 40:13 says, “Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as His counselor has taught Him?” The answer is no one. We are in Christ because of Christ. It’s His ongoing plan that has fixed us, changed us, and that has changed the world.

Second, when we choose to follow Jesus, we also get the mind of Christ. Our mind can make the best choices because it’s aligned with His.

More so, we're not given the mind of Christ without also having the bandwidth to make decisions that put His plan first. 

If trusting God has no risk, and if He gives us the mind of Christ that comes with the ability to operate our lives in full confidence of God's control out of His unconditional love, then our faith will be unwavering and people will take notice. 

How are we doing with making decisions right now? Are we agonizing and worrying like the rest of the world? Did 2020 leave us feeling frazzled and a bit crazy? Don't forget that you've been given the mind of Christ and that God won't invite us into risky situations that He is not already in full control over in 2021.

So let’s stop approaching decisions in our life with Christ as though it’s a roll of the dice or that we are taking a huge chance. The only chance that has been taken is God’s chance on us as broken people, but, based on His crazy love for us, I know He’d do it again an infinite number of times.

Invite God into your life choices right now and trust that there is no risk involved. He’s got you because He’s got the entire plan; start to finish and every move in between.

God, thank You for providing us with security and confidence unlike anything else in this world. Nothing You do is risky because You are in full control. We have nothing to fear. We can trust You today and every day, fully and completely. We love You! Amen.
