He Grew Up

The baby that was born one glorious starry night in Bethlehem, grew up.

The baby that the great prophets of old wrote about, He that would bring salvation to our dark world, grew up.

This baby, the Holy One of Israel, our Prince of Peace grew up.

This is the One Simeon held in his arms with great hope and assurance proclaiming

“…For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel... Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel…”

He grew up as the fulfilled Word of God, the One Who was seen in the visions and spoken from the mouth of the seers. He, Jesus, the Messiah, grew up in great wisdom and stature, and in favor with God. Whose shoulders rest the government and was given the name Immanuel (God with us). The Rod from the stem of Jesse, the Branch that grew out of his roots. The One heralded as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Lord of Lords, and our King of Kings.

He grew up to be our Salvation and our Prince of Peace.

Final Thought

There are promises that the Lord has placed inside of you, that may seem small now, but trust in Him, that He is developing in you something marvelous. He is cultivating a garden of great things that will yield a harvest for all to benefit from!
