Reunion Weekend

DAY 5 OF 5

God Wants To Work Through Us

Acts 2 is about the Holy Spirit coming and living inside of us. For what purpose? So that God can speak through us and work through us. He does not want us to just go to the temple; He wants to make us His temple. He wants us to take His words and His magnificent acts everywhere we go. This is how He works through us: He talks in the language of our hearts, whatever we may be needing at this time, and then He helps us speak to someone else in the exact same language they need to hear from God.

Many times during the course of our life, God will take our misery and make it our ministry. We might be talking to someone who is going through some hard times, similar to the ones we have been through in the past, and we can tell them all about how we went through something similar and trusted Jesus through that. That is when we start speaking in the language of their hearts and they become quiet and start paying attention to what we have to say. It is then that God starts to work through us with His Holy Spirit living in us and guiding us.

In His perfect timing and plan, God has chosen us to communicate His magnificent acts, to speak in the language of the heart to other people, and to trust in Him always. To be the best communicators of His magnificent acts we must have higher thoughts than the world. As it says in Colossians 3:2, “Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.” There are so many things going on in the world right now, but God is calling us to look up, to put our eyes on Him, and to pray the Lord’s prayer, which says “On earth as it is in heaven.” God wants us to lose all of our fears and worries and look at things in faith, from heaven’s perspective.

It is time we let God work through us with His Holy Spirit living inside of us. Let Him speak His holy Word to us, so we can speak it to someone else.

About this Plan

Reunion Weekend

On Reunion Weekend, we celebrate Pentecost and the birth of the Church. As the disciples trusted and waited for the promise of the Father, we too need to trust in God’s timing and His plan. Lean in to Him, let Him speak ...
