The Greatest News (Week 4) Sample

Day Three 

The Birth of Jesus - the greatest gift God has given humanity, besides salvation, is His only Son! Welcome to our Christmas Devotional. As you journey together through the wonder of God’s amazing plan and provision, we pray that you have fun, whilst discovering more about God’s heart for everyone. We pray that every truth you learn through this plan will be remembered and carried with you through life, as you journey with and always follow Jesus.

READ:

‘The Bright Stars and the Three Visitors’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 286-290) or in Matthew 2:1-12, and Numbers 24:17.

A very long time before Jesus was born, there was a Bible verse about a star showing where Jesus would be born - have a look at Numbers 24:17. 

The Bible is so special and teaches us so much. Even though Jesus’ life is in the New Testament, there are so many verses talking about Him in the Old Testament, too!

ASK:

Try to find another Old Testament verse that talks about Jesus. Ask your grown up to help you! 

REMEMBER:

But the angel reassured them, saying, “Don’t be afraid. For I have come to bring you good news, the most joyous news the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere! (Luke 2:10 TPT)

SAY:

Thank you God that you sent your Son, 

Help us to remember whilst we have fun. 

Give us the courage to share the Greatest news,

With Everyone, Everywhere, that all may hear,                             

As we shout it from the rooftops, loud and clear!
