Rise Up & Stand Firm—A Study of 1 Peter (Part 1)

Day 3 of 5 • This day’s reading

Devotional

What Will Be the End Result of Your Faith?

Ready to dig into today’s text and discover some treasures?

Pray:

Holy Spirit, I need Your help. Please guide me, fill me, and teach me.

Today’s Goal:

Gain a greater understanding of what we have in Christ.

Study Tip:

Seek clarity. If you come across a word, verse, or passage you don’t understand, make a note of it and consider doing a little more research.

Read and Write:

Grab your notebook, and as you read through 1 Peter 1:3-12, write down the following observations:

  • What have Christians been given? Make a list of what you find in today’s text.

  • What key words appear repeatedly? Write them down, adding them to your list from yesterday.

Reflect:

  • Why would faith be far more valuable than gold or any worldly riches?

  • How might 1 Peter 1:10-12 encourage the original recipients of this text?

  • Considering James 1:2-4 and 1 Peter 1:6-7, fill in the blank: My trials give me an opportunity to _______________________________________.

Apply:

  • Based on today’s lesson, how will you rise up and stand firm?
