Through the ChaosSample

When my life feels out of control I long for shelter from the storm. 

I tend to not want to go many places and stay home. But just because I’m home doesn’t necessarily mean I feel peace. 

What if we asked the Lord to turn our homes into his tent as he describes in Psalms? Imagine if our homes were a place of refuge, a strong tower against enemies and chaos. 

I believe that even though the world is in a strange state and there are many fears and uncertainty, that the Lord can still reign in our homes and bring a peace that surpasses all of what is happening around us. God is not a God of fear or confusion. He will answer if we call upon Him to make our homes His dwelling place. 

Do what you need to do. Turn off the news. Unfollow people spreading fear. Turn on worship music to play in the background as you go about your day. Take hold of your surroundings and guard your heart.

Prayer:

Jesus, you have been my refuge all throughout my life. You have always been a strong tower standing firm in the face of anything that has come against me. I want to be in your presence forever and be safe in your arms. Thank you Lord for protecting my family and allowing us to experience your perfect peace. Teach me how to turn our home into a dwelling place where your presence is always welcome.  In your precious name, Amen.
