Chapter nine begins to respond to possible objections made by Jews. Paul asserts that justification and salvation come by faith and not the works of the law, and that it is from Christ not Moses. Within chapter eleven Paul responds to these possible objections of “Has God then cast away his people?” He explained it in these two ways: God has mercy and wrath, as well as wisdom and sovereignty. Paul then concludes chapter 12 with how we are to get along with those both inside and outside of the church.
