May the Lord protect His people, His church, “called out ones” who follow Jesus. We need His help in knowing the truth and seeing that the truth sets us free indeed!
We need His protection from the evil one, who intently aims to “steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10). May He protect us from those the evil one uses to wreak havoc in the church.
As we pray through the book of Jude, here is how he describes such infiltrators: “These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted” (12).
Father God, what a danger these infiltrators are—quietly, out-of-sight, under water, doing their damage. Today, afresh, looking to Ephesians 6:10-18, we pray in spiritual armor for the spiritual battle!
