Love God Greatly: Growing Through PrayerSample

SOAP – Luke 18:1,7 Jesus shares a parable that urges believers to persevere in prayer. Jesus has to tell believers to pray and not lose heart, because He knows we inevitably will. He knows our tendency to become discouraged and stop praying. He knows that most people doubt the true power of prayer. He knows that when our prayers are not answered, we mistakenly believe we are being punished or ignored. But when we truly know the character of God, we know that prayer should be our first response to any situation. What is your attitude when you pray…one of meekness, hesitancy, or boldness? Will you begin today to pray boldly and persistently to God knowing that if it is good for you then it shall be yours? Father God, I thank You for being my Father who loves and nurtures me. Develop in me, Lord, the ability to endure, persist and never lose heart. Crush any doubt that tries to creep in when I don’t see You moving in my life. Remind me daily that my communication with You, my prayers to You, must be my first response in good times and in bad times. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
