 Week Five - Day One - God Will Provide

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to search for treasure in the Bible over the next few weeks, as we look at different people who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious treasure inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘A Net Full of Fish’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 462-465) or in John 21:1-14.

Right before this story, Jesus appeared to the disciples after He had been resurrected (risen from the dead). 

The disciples went back to their normal lives - being fishermen. 

I wonder if they were a bit confused. They had spent lots of time with Jesus, but they didn’t know what they were going to do next. What was it all for? 

Sometimes we go through things that are hard or confusing, and we’re not always sure what God is doing. We just have to trust and remember that God has a plan - always. 

ASK:

Have you ever been confused about what God is doing?

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.

What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
