 Week One - Day Seven - God is my Coach 

Welcome to our ‘Run the Race’ Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey through the Bible.  We are taking a look at some people in the Bible to find out how they ‘Run the Race’ that is God set before them.  Each of us has a ‘Race to Run’, something that God has made us for.  Our ‘Race’ is like a lane on the running track but the best, most exciting thing is, we get to ‘Run our Race’ together with God and He provides EVERYTHING that we need to complete our Race!

God had led Abraham and Sarah to their new home, along the way they had to trust God and believe that all things that happen are going to work for their good.  

READ:

‘A New Home’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 39-45) or in Genesis 17. 

God led Abraham and Sarah to a place called Hebron and their new home was beautiful. 

God is always good and we can always trust that He will always provide for us. 

Abraham and Sarah had to have faith to believe that it was all going to be ok. 

When we look around us, God has given us many people that we can see are trusting God, that is how we know what faith looks like. 

Each of us has a ‘Race to Run’, something that God has given only us to do, like running in our lane on the running track, nobody else can run in your lane. 

God is always with us and helps us to ‘Run the Race’ he has set before us!  We can trust God and never give up! 

ASK:

Can you think of something that God has given you that you know it is just for you? 

REMEMBER:

‘So we have many people of faith around us. Their lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is set before us and never give up’ (Hebrews 12:1) 

SAY: 

I am an overcomer  

I can run my race

I can raise a happy sound.

His people all around.

My God has given me everything

He is faithful and true,

With my eyes firmly fixed on Him

His power will get me through!
