 Week Two - Day Five - God Leads Me

Welcome to our ‘Run the Race’ Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey through the Bible.  We are taking a look at some people in the Bible to find out how they ‘Run the Race’ that God set before them.  Each of us has a ‘Race to Run’, something that God has made us for.  Our ‘Race’ is like a lane on the running track but the best, most exciting thing is, we get to ‘Run our Race’ together with God and He provides EVERYTHING that we need to complete our Race!

God made the Sea part so that Moses and the Israelites could cross, but the Pharaoh's men were close behind!!

‘The Red Sea’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 111 -  115 ) or in Exodus 14

Do you remember God pushed back the sea so that Moses and the Israelites could walk through, but Pharaoh's army were close behind them!!! 

But God’s plan is always the best plan…..

Sometimes we can be so worried about what is going on around us that we can forget that God is in control!

When we let God lead us He will always lead us into good things. 

ASK:

Can you think of some good things that God has led you to?  Maybe it’s a new home, or a new class or a new friendship?  

Whatever it is, maybe you can say thank you to God for all the good things He leads us to? 

Spend some time raising a happy sound and celebrating the good things God has led you to today!  Remember to ask your grownup to send us some photos of your celebrations to us on Facebook or Instagram. 

REMEMBER:

‘So we have many people of faith around us. Their lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is set before us and never give up’ (Hebrews 12:1) 

SAY:

I am an overcomer  

I can run my race

I can raise a happy sound.

His people all around.

My God has given me everything

He is faithful and true,

With my eyes firmly fixed on Him

His power will get me through!
