Are you someone who thinks you can handle everything on your own? We've been told from a young age to be independent and self-reliant. However, God wants us to be God-reliant and to lean on Him with complete trust.
Leaning on God is not something that comes naturally to many. However, when you spend your life trying to control everything on your own, you miss out on the peace and blessings that God has for you. Lean on His word, and cast your worries on Him. He is mighty and able to take your fears and fill you with hope, leading you on a straight path.
Allow yourself to place the weight of your fears and worries on God's shoulders. Put your trust in Him, and don't lean on your understanding. When you begin to rest in God's sovereignty and relinquish your desire to control your circumstances, you'll find a peace that transcends all understanding. So go ahead, lean on Him, and start to become fearless to face anything!
