Day 4: Speak Out The Promises of God

To walk in victory over the virus, speak out the promises of God through prayer and praise. As Believers, we have access to two very powerful tools, prayer and praise. 

In 2nd Chronicles 20, the Israelites were facing a powerful adversary, an army that was too big for them to conquer in their own strength. The Lord instructed the Israelites to lift up a shout of praise to declare victory over their enemy. As king Jehoshaphat knelt in prayer and the Israelites remained in a posture of praise, their enemy was defeated. 

We win our battles on our knees, not on our feet. When we begin to pray and praise, the Lord begins to work! When the enemy tries to rush in like a flood with fear, worry and anxiety, take heart for the battle belongs to the Lord. You are stronger in your surrender than you are trying to fight the battle on your own. True victory is found in a prayerful heart surrendered to the Lord. 

You cannot live a positive life with a negative mouth. What is your confession? Through the words that you speak are you spreading fear or faith? Hope or hopelessness? Discouragement or encouragement? A critical spirit or a courageous spirit? The virus might spread fear and anxiety, but contagious Christians spread hope. The virus doesn't stand a chance when you declare the promises of God. 

I encourage you today, take some time to pray and put on a praise song. Get on your knees before the Lord and declare that this is how you win your battles, with a heart fully surrendered to Him!
