Everyone copes with fear differently. People react in various ways that can make others feel uneasy or cause concern. We can tend to retreat, step back, stay away and isolate ourselves from the situation at hand.
However, God knew that you would face this situation right from the day you were born … even before that! Remember, God is always with you in difficult times. I want to encourage you during today’s devotional that you can also be an encouragement to those around you who are struggling with fear.
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
- Picture the faces of some of the people around you who need encouragement and confidence in the midst of the pandemic.
- Is the way that you’re carrying yourself encouraging them toward, or draining them of confidence in God?
- Now open your Bible and read Proverbs 14:26–27. What is God speaking into your heart about how you can have confidence?
- If you lived that way, what do you think other people would see in you?
- What specific opportunities do you have to share the hope that you have in Jesus Christ with the people around you?
