God | God Is Good

People are often confused about who God really is. When they see evil and terror throughout the world, they question the goodness of God. But Exodus 34:6 says that God is “abounding in goodness.” God is totally and completely good, and His nature flows out of His goodness.

God’s goodness cannot be measured, and it has no limits. There is never a time when God isn’t good or kind or gracious or merciful. You don’t ever have to worry about coming to God and finding Him in a bad mood. Understand this: God does not just have goodness—God is goodness.

We were created because God is good. God didn’t destroy us after we sinned because He is good. God answers our prayers, forgives us and saves us because He is good.

Understanding that God is good is vital because it affects your prayer life. Matthew 7:11 says, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Will you choose today to believe that God is good?
