GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 3 - CARESample

March 17—People Trapped in Sin
Read
Luke 19:1-10
Reflect
Jesus always made it a point to interact with sinners. While it is easy or even natural to stay away from or be uncomfortable with sinner, we are called to be lights in the world. We have to intentionally leave our comfort zones, come out of our spiritual bubble and share the love of Jesus with those we encounter who need to know Jesus. How will they know of his love unless we step out and share it with them?
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, James 1:27. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

Human need comes in many different forms—from a stranger asking for directions to a loved one in desperate need of healing. Our care for them can be physical, but often it is care for the soul, such as being present with a friend experiencing heartbreak. A hurting world calls for people who care. In Scripture we discover various folks who need the care of the followers of Jesus.
