DAY 20 OF 35

Another aspect that helps you find peace and security in times of change and upheaval is when you have an idea or a vision of where this is going to and what things will be like there.

Having a vision means for me to have an inner picture of a future reality that God wants to realize in our lives or through our lives. God has given us a wonderful gift, namely our imagination. The Bible calls this "seeing with the eyes of the heart". In Ephesians 1, Paul prays that "the eyes of our heart may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which he has called us.”

Jesus carried the vision of the people who will receive forgiveness and redemption through His death within Him. The love for us gave Him the strength to leave for Gethsemane that night. The Holy Spirit also wants to inspire your imagination and show you where He wants to go with you.

On a long, sometimes exhausting journey, it is important to be with people you love. With friends at your side, it is firstly much more fun and secondly, we can always encourage and strengthen each other to go further and not lose sight of the vision. Open your heart and entrust yourself to them. Especially in uncertain times, it is immensely important not to be alone.

God is at your side. Jesus is the friend who will never leave you. You can entrust yourself 100% to Him. He has promised you that He will always be with you.

ACTION STEP:

  1. Ask God to open the eyes of your heart and take time to let this image sink into your heart.
  2. Reflect on when you consciously have time for your friendship with Jesus. Jesus’ promises for your life are a solid foundation on which you can build.

About this Plan

#JESUS2020 - Daily Devotionals

The Lamb of God dies in Jerusalem, on a cross. Three days later He rose from the dead - sin and death are overcome. Two thousand years later, His blood sets me free. During the weeks before Easter, we want to acquire a deeper understanding of this fundamental event of our faith, get to know Jesus better and experience how His loving deed on the cross changes our lives forever.
