DAY 2 OF 11

VICTORIOUS PROMISE

The word “pleasing God’s heart” is often heard at church during church service or during cell group or Bible study sessions. Have we ever thought seriously on the meaning of “pleasing God’s heart”? Why don’t we start meditating on the meaning of it and start to put it into practice?

Do the things that please God’s heart. A child may do home chores, such as tidying up his own bed and room, studying diligently or helping his parents in order to please his parent’s heart. Obviously, we will try to do the best for the person we love.

For us to please God’s heart, we need to know the things that God likes. God is pleased when we sincerely do His Word, when we do His commandments, not with motives for others to see or to gain God’s blessings, but with pure motives to please His heart. Remember, blessings will surely follow righteous people, so when we do His Word, let it be to God’s glory, not seeking man’s approval. When we do His Word, people will experience the living God through our life.

God brought the Israelites out of Egypt as an evidence of God’s love and grace to them. God’s vision upon the Israelites was not only to bring them out of Egypt but to bring them into a better place, the Promised Land that God had destined for them. God not only takes us out of darkness or bondage and sin, but God also leads us into the Promised Land—a future full of hope and success.

God promised that He will give us victory as long as we walk with Him.
