Love made perfect

The greatest desire of the Father’s heart is that our life in this world is the same as Christ’s. He was perfectly in tune with God’s will and lived to touch people with that love. We are called and blessed with the love of God through the presence of the Holy Spirit in us, from the day we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Practice love, for by so doing the love in us grows and multiplies. No matter how much love we give away, God pours yet more into us from His heavenly store. We can never outgive God’s love. Each day we have opportunities to share loving-kindness with others. Love is made perfect in us—through Jesus, our Lord and Savior!

Jesus always had time for people. Though He must have often been tired from so many crowds, He was never rude or offensive; He made time His own. He called the children to Him when His disciples wanted to send them away. 

Our world often gets in the way, but as we truly seek to meet with Jesus to learn His will and way for our lives, we too can show this warm, inviting love to others. Take time to help a neighbor. Come to God in prayer for a friend in need. God wants to meet you in your time of prayer and supplication.

Prayer

Christian love is warm and giving, and I desire to be full of such love, Lord. May my attitude and prayers be full of loving-kindness towards my neighbors. Amen.
