ACCEPT GOD’S LOVE

You are so loved. 

Have you ever woken up and immediately thought of someone you love? Or is there someone you love so much you would not hesitate to give your life for them? Now imagine that being Jesus, because the reality of it is, that was Him. Jesus woke up on this one day and only thought of YOU and, without hesitation, He gave his life for you.

Lately love has gotten a bad rep, but that’s because it’s not always attached to the One who IS love. Maybe that seems like a crazy concept to accept, God is love. The exact definition of love is: “an intense feeling of deep affection.” We are shown that throughout these scriptures and in His nature. He has always loved us perfectly, and that’s exactly what He wants us to experience:

perfect love.

At times, we can look for that kind of love in relationships, but we end up “failing in love” instead of “falling in love” because no human, as amazing as they are, can meet the needs and desires for love that we crave; only Jesus can. In Ecclesiastes 3:11, it says that God wrote eternity in our hearts. Inside every one of us there’s a desire for something eternal, something forever. And in Jesus, we can find that.

So I encourage us to seek Him first, before everything else. Everything else starts to fall in place once we add Him into our everyday lives. This means take a second before starting your day to just thank Him for His gracious love for us, and pray that that love grows daily, and it will.
