The 5-Minute Bible Reading Plan And Devotional: Acts

DAY 7 OF 16
Surprised by Answered Prayer
Peter was arrested and kept in prison, so the church prayed desperately for him. After an angel freed him, he ran to the house where his friends were praying. When a servant insisted Peter was at the door, they said she was out of her mind. They couldn’t believe it was him (Acts 12:1–17). How many of your own prayers are like that? Have you ever prayed and prayed for something, then when someone told you your prayer had been answered, you were skeptical? You are to believe that you’ll receive what you’re praying for (Mark 11:24).
